Let's just say, Alex hasn't been getting as much sleep as he used to now that he is in his toddler bed. He has a harder time settling down to take a nap and going to bed at night. We hear Aaron's clock radio going on and off. We took everything else out so Alex wouldn't play with it, I think that is going out next.
His other problem has been staying in his bed while he is asleep. I'm just glad that his bed isn't very far off the floor. We will be watching TV and hear a "thump" and Alex is asleep on the floor next to his bed, or standing up looking a little disoriented. Mike has gone up to get Aaron up for school and found Alex asleep on the floor (next to Aaron's bed and under his own bed.) Mike even found Alex standing next to his bed with his head on his bed, like he fell asleep saying his prayers.
Last night we were amazed that he didn't fall out of bed. He was still in his bed this morning. Maybe he is finally getting the hang of it. Sometimes he will even go right to sleep... but we're still working on that one. It doesn't happen very often!

I used to find Isaac on the floor and under his bed all the time. FOr a while he preferred to sleep on the floor instead of the bed. And he never seemed to mind the falling off part. I think that he still falls off his bed occassionally even at 6 years old. But I'm sure he'll get it. I'm excited for your new baby. It's on my calendar now. Let me know if there's anything we can do for you. We'll even come get your kids for a few days if you need us too. They can stay here and play so you can get some rest. ANyway, we'll help anyway we can.
