I recently found out that there is a position for a Graphic Design Faculty member at SUU in Cedar City, UT, and I am applying for it.
Before anyone asks if things aren't good here... things here are great. We're in the process of interviewing for a fourth faculty member to help eliviate the load, we should get our new BFA degree approved any meeting now, the students are improving greatly and we just had a very successful student show opening and I just got a raise.
We love Texas and everything here. We're doing this just to test the waters.
But it is closer to family and friends... on the other hand Cedar City is colder than a witch's --- nevermind.
We'll keep you updated.

You were trying to leave us first! Don't worry, it probably won't happen. They have to offer us enough to make the move worth it.
I wouldn't mind if you moved here! I need to see those cute kids more often. Especially the new baby. Hopefully they'll make it worth it either way. If you want to stay in Texas you can play SUU against them and maybe get more money. But a 3 hour drive certainly beats 24!
Our thoughts exactly! We love it out here, and Mike really likes his job and the people he works with, but being that much closer to family would be SOOO nice!
I don't know, sometimes being so close to family can be hard. Especially since I'm here with ALL of my family and next door to Sean's brother. Whew!
The nice thing about Cedar City is that it is closer, but not TOO close.
Mike still hasn't had a chance to send in his application. School has been crazy because they are interviewing for new a new prof. He is going to get it in this week. We'll let everyone know what's going on there, when we know more.
The application is in and the ball is rolling. It'll be a few weeks, but we'll see what happens.
